About the Conference

India’s rich cultural diversity is a testament to the dynamism and potential of its people, particularly its women, who are increasingly taking centre stage across various sectors. Despite the progress made in empowering women, there is a critical need for more robust policies and laws in the field of entrepreneurship, finance, sports, politics, education, technology, entertainment, and journalism, to ensure they receive the opportunities and protections they deserve.

This conference will serve as a platform to engage in thoughtful discussions on the current state of women-centric policies, laws, and reforms pertaining to their roles in varied fields.

The conference welcomes both men and women comprising of undergraduate students, academicians, scholars, professionals etc. to contribute their academic research and present the same before the esteemed panel of adjudicators comprising of academicians, lawyers, industry expert, etc. that will shed light on these critical issues.

Through this conference, we are also convening voices from diverse sectors to engage in a vivid and comprehensive discourse on the progress, challenges, and the road ahead for women in India.

The Guests and the Panelists will consist of justices from the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and High Courts, Senior Advocate(s), Standing Counsel(s), Leading Law Firm Partners, Journalist(s), Government Secretary(ies)/Member(s), Administrator(s), Social worker(s), Artist(s), Entrepreneurs, etc. who will grace the conference with their insights and experiences which will foster an overall enriching experience for the participants and other attendees of the conference.

With the anticipated affiliation from the National Commission for Women, National Human Rights Commission of India and the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, this conference is set to be a landmark event.

About Ms. Nivedita Chauhan, Advocate, Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the State President, Madhya Pradesh, Youth & Community Empowerment Council – WICCI

Ms. Nivedita Chauhan, being the President of YCEC, WICCI for the State of Madhya Pradeshand an advocate by profession, is passionate to work for the society and serve the community at large (especially the youth of the Country).

She has organized various legal awareness camps in villages to educate underprivileged women and children of their legal rights and is an active participant in the promotion of Human Rights.

She had also conducted a state level workshop on self-defence techniques free of cost for the underprivileged young girls, women and boys in association with the Directorate of Youth & Sports Welfare, Madhya Pradesh.

She is also the Co-Founder of Chambers of Abhinav Mishra, Advocates & Solicitors and holds an expertise & has worked ably and rigorously on Real Estate, Corporate, Commercial and Intellectual Property Laws matters Pan- India.

She also holds a Masters’ Degree in IPR & Technology Law and has been an asset to the legal fraternity and has worked extensively with a number of Start-Ups and advised such companies on various legal and regulatory compliances and has also assisted in execution of various agreements.

She is also a legal consultant to Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited and a Panel Counsel to Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board.

After the Registration the participants are required to submit their Research Papers along with Abstract (strictly in terms of the guidelines) on or before the last date of submissions i.e., 25.05.2024 on the following E-mail address with the subject line “Name of the Author(s) _ Title of the Manuscript”.

Submission Guidelines

Word Limit

  • A paper must comprehensively analyze the issue that the author seeks to highlight. It must contain an in-depth study of the status quo or a contemporary issue in any subtheme. A long paper should be between 2,000-10,000 words.
  • The word limit is exclusive of footnotes. However, depending upon the quality and depth of research, relaxation may be given and the word limit may vary.
  • The paper must contain an Abstract of 150-300 words with 3-7 Keywords.
  • CITATION STYLE: OSCOLA 4th edn citation method must be followed

The Format of The Main Text and The Footnotes

  • The Times New Roman Font with a Font size of 12 and Line spacing of 1.5 is prescribed for all entries.
  • Further, the footnotes shall be in Times New Roman Font with Font size 10 and Line spacing of 1.0 shall be followed respectively.
  • The Submission must be made in MS Word format only.

All Submissions Must be Accompanied By

  • A separate document containing the biographical information of the authors, including the following details: Name, E-mail address, Name and Address of Institution, Course, Contact number, and Academic Year.
  • No reference to the name or the affiliations of the author(s) must be present in the text of the submission and must only be provided in a separate document. Co-authorship is allowed, to a maximum of two authors. The abstract should be written in the Manuscript.
  • Note: Failure to adhere to the guidelines in the submissions shall lead to outright rejection of such paper(s).

Publication Policy

  • All the submissions sent must be original and should not have been published nor should they be under consideration for publication in any other journal.
  • Plagiarism up to 15% is allowed.
  • The Editors reserve the right to delete or edit any paper or part thereof whose content is found to be offensive, defamatory, outrightly unethical, or if it is suggestive of racism, sexual or religious discrimination, illegal or terror activities, etc.
  • The Publication of a paper will be subject to Editorial Review and an 8-layer review process will be conducted and the author have to make the corrections as per the review by the JCLJ Board.
  • The decision of the Board will be binding regarding Publication or Alterations or Rejection of a Manuscript.

Important Dates

  • The Last date for submission of the Research Paper along with an Abstract is 25th May, 2024
  • Date of the National Level Paper Presentation is 15th June 2024
  • Date for the Valedictory ceremony and Panel Discussion is 16th June 2024

Rewards And Acknowledgement

  • Top 3 Research Paper shall be awarded with a cash prize of INR 21,000/- each;
  • Top 3 Paper Presenter shall be awarded with a cash prize of INR 15,000/- each;
  • The Top 10 papers shall be published by Jus Corpus and next best 10 papers shall be published by the Journal of Legal Research and Juridical Sciences, and their authors shall be granted the ISSN Number by Jus Corpus for the formal publication of their papers; Internship opportunities for the top 10 Paper Presenter (being law students) at Top tier law firm(s) and Chamber(s);
  • All participants will be honored with a certificate of Participation; Accommodation, food and local commutation shall be taken care of by the organizers subject to nominal fee;
  • Extraordinary opportunity to engage directly with dignitaries from different sectors.

  • Single – authorship without accommodation – INR 1,500/-
  • Single-authorship with accommodation inclusive of food & local commutation: INR 5,000/-
  • Co-authorship without accommodation: INR 2,000/-
  • Co-authorship with accommodation inclusive of food and local commutation: INR 4,500/- per author.

General Instructions

  • The research paper will not be accepted without the payment of registration fees.
  • The research paper shall be in strict compliance with the aforementioned guidelines.
  • If the aforementioned criteria are not fulfilled, the research paper shall be subject to rejection.
