About the Centre:


Centre for Labour Law Research and Advocacy (CLLRA) is established to reinvigorate
the constitutional philosophy of ‘decent work for all’ by ensuring dignity at work and
enjoyment of equal social, cultural and economic opportunities for workers. We focus
to understand labour policy paradigm from an interdisciplinary pedagogical framework
and conversate with social realities to undertake meaningful advocacy and outreach
initiatives.

About the Research Project:

This Project aims to study the status of platform beauty workers in Delhi. The study tries to inquire into the employment agreements/contractual documents between the platforms and the beauty workers to understand the necessity of standardization of employment agreement to regulate this sector. This is an empirical project to inquire into the bargaining possibilities from the side of the platform beauty workers at the entry point or during the employment.

Responsibilities:

Research Associate:

A. Initiating writing works for the Project Submission

B. Coordinating research and organization of both doctrinal and empirical work related to the Project.

 C. Any other work that may be necessary to ensure the effective implementation and completion of the project within the proposed timelines.

Field Investigator:

A. Initiating and coordinating Field Research

B. Transcribing Field Work

Qualifications:

Research Associate:

 A Postgraduate in Law or Social Sciences with at least TWO peer reviewed publications in journals. Any previous research experience in empirical studies is preferred.

 Field Investigator

A Graduate with 3 years of Experience in empirical projects

Compensation: Salary for Research Associate will be Rs. 35,000/- (Consolidated) per month. The salary will be funded out of the grants received from N-REG project sponsored by the National Law University Delhi.

 Salary for the Field Investigator will be Rs. 20,000/-.
