Gangster Sanjiv Jeeva, a close associate of former UP MLA Mukhtar Ansari, was shot dead in Lucknow Civil Court on Wednesday. And Jeeva was an accused in the murder of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Brahm Dutt Dwivedi.
According to an NDTV report, Jeeva was brought to the Court when a man dressed as a lawyer shot him while he was entering a courtroom. A policeman was also shot in the leg. Lawyers present at the spot managed to apprehend one of the attackers, who was then handed over to the police.
