Pacta is inviting applications for the position of Senior/Lead Legal Consultant on a full-time basis.

Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Bengaluru, Pacta is India’s only law firm and policy think tank dedicated exclusively to serving not-for-profit organizations.

The role offers exposure to:

• Legal consulting
• Policy research
• Compliance advisory
• Capacity building
• Non-profit legal frameworks

Position Details

About the Role

The selected candidate may work on:

• Strategic legal advisory
• Drafting and reviewing agreements
• Legal and statutory compliance
• Labour law and DPDP compliance
• POSH advisory and workshops
• Compliance audits for non-profit organizations
• Legal research and policy support
• Client relationship management

Key Responsibilities

Candidates may be required to:

• Draft and review MOUs, MSAs, NDAs, Grant Agreements, Service Agreements, and Leases
• Handle civil construction, EPC contracts, and real estate matters
• Draft legal notices and responses
• Advise Trusts, Section 8 Companies, and Societies
• Conduct compliance workshops and audits
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and DPDP Act
• Lead POSH policy advisory and workshops
• Mentor junior associates and interns
• Support research and policy projects

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the role should possess:

• LL.B./LL.M. from a reputed institution
• 5–6 years of relevant experience
• Strong academic credentials

Skills Required

Candidates should possess:

• Strong foundation in contract law and statutory compliance
• Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills
• Client management abilities
• Leadership and initiative
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Additional Preference

Preference may be given to candidates having:

• Knowledge of Income Tax, FCRA, and GST laws for non-profits
• Experience in conducting workshops and trainings
• Proficiency in Hindi or other regional Indian languages
