
In response to their alleged support for Israel during the conflict in Gaza . Turkey’s parliament has removed coca cola and nestle products from its restaurants. The decision was made by parliament speaker Numan kurtulmus and it was taken in response to public demand.
It was decided that the products of companies who support Israel will not be sold in restaurants , cafeterias and teahouses in the parliament – campus.
Both the companies have been named in the social media posts in recent days by Turkish activists calling for a boycott of Israel companies they consider as endorsing Israel.
Meanwhile,the trade between Turkey and Israel has dropped by half since the war has started.
Israel has bombarded Gaza since a Hamas said in southern Israel a month ago, when it’s fighter killed 1,400 people and seized 240 hostage . Gaza health officers says Israel’s assault has killed more than 10,000 Palestinians, including 4,100 childrens.
Thousands of Turks have protested against Israel operations into Gaza over the past months as well as protests on social media.
