
India has released an emergency contact number for Indians in Nepal affected by recent earthquake.
After a massive 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Nepal claimed 132 lives and several injured, India has released an emergency contact number for Indians who require urgent assistance.
Prime minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that he is “deeply saddened”by the loss of lives and damage caused by the earthquake in Nepal. PM Narendra Modi offered support to nepal and expressed India’s willingness to extent all possible assistance.
More than 150 people have been killed after an earthquake struck Remote western Nepal on Friday. The quake was centred about 158km northeast of pilibhit.
The injured shifted to hospital at the foothills some may be sent to India,even as search and rescue operation continued in the mountains jajarkot district an Western Nepal hit by a powerful 6.4 magnitude earthquake on Friday night. The rescuers focus was on finding survivors after strong earthquake shook districta in northwestern Nepal.
Nepal has a history of earthquakes.earthquakes are common in mountainous Nepal . A 7.8 magnitude earthquake in 2015 killed some 9000 people damaged about 1 million structure.
