Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya was sworn in as chief justice of the Bombay high court.

Before acting as existing holder of Bombay High court “Nitin Madhukar Jamdar” since 31st May 2023.

On Saturday, Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya was sworn in as chief justice of the Bombay high court. [1]

Maharashtra governor Ramesh Bais administered the oath of office to Justice Upadhyaya at a brief swearing-in ceremony at Raj Bhavan Mumbai afternoon.

justice Upadhyaya took the oath of office in a brief ceremony at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai on Saturday afternoon, administered by Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais. Prior to his appointment as the chief justice of the Bombay HC, he served as a judge for the Allahabad HC. Justice Upadhyaya, born in June 1965, obtained his law degree from Lucknow University in 1991.

Justice Upadhyaya was the sitting judge of the Allahabad HC before his elevation as chief justice of Bombay HC, he was born on June 1965, Upadhyay graduated in law from Lucknow University in 1991.
