About the Workshop
Legal Vidhiya presents a 3-Day Workshop on “Understanding Criminal Trial: From FIR to Final Judgment”, scheduled from 20 February – 22 February 2026.
This workshop is designed for law students, interns, young advocates, and legal professionals who wish to gain a clear, practical, and structured understanding of criminal trial proceedings in India.
The workshop takes participants through the entire lifecycle of a criminal case—from the registration of an FIR and police investigation to trial proceedings, judgment, sentencing, and appellate remedies. It aims to bridge the gap between textbook criminal law and real courtroom practice by focusing on procedural application, evidentiary rules, and judicial reasoning.
Through practical explanations, statutory mapping, and landmark case discussions, participants will develop a strong foundation in criminal procedure and trial strategy, enabling them to confidently understand and assist in criminal litigation before Magistrates’ Courts, Sessions Courts, and appellate forums.
