About the Workshop

Legal Vidhiya presents a 3-day focused workshop designed for law students, legal interns, and young professionals to gain essential insights into the core areas of Criminal Law and Forensic Law in India.

This workshop aims to provide participants with a structured understanding of preventive detention laws, forensic science in legal processes, and the legal framework surrounding drug-related offences in India. Through conceptual discussions, landmark judgments, and practical case studies, the workshop will enhance participants’ legal knowledge and critical thinking on issues at the intersection of law, technology, and society.

About the Speaker

Nivedita Kaundinya is a distinguished law professional with a robust blend of academic excellence and practical experience. A BA LLB (Hons) graduate from the Faculty of Law, University of Allahabad, she earned her Master’s degree in Criminal and Security Laws from Rashtriya Raksha University, Gandhinagar, where she was awarded the RRU Gold Medal for securing the top rank in the 2023 batch. She is also a qualified UGC-NET 2023 candidate.

Nivedita is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Law at CMP Degree College (A Constituent College of the University of Allahabad). She has also served as a Guest Faculty at S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College (A Constituent College of the University of Allahabad) and formerly worked as an Assistant Professor of Law at Utthan–Shambhunath Institutions, actively contributing to legal education and student mentoring.

She has enriched her expertise through Faculty Development Programmes and certifications, and her role as a Student Research Associate at Rashtriya Raksha University allowed her to contribute to impactful projects like the PAIF Research Forum for Gujarat Police.

An accomplished researcher, she has presented papers at esteemed national conferences and excelled in moot courts, Youth Parliaments, and academic competitions. With her in-depth legal knowledge, academic accolades, and dedication to mentoring, Nivedita is committed to guiding students towards achieving professional excellence.
