About the Workshop

Legal Vidhiya presents a 3-Day Live Workshop on “International Humanitarian Law (IHL) & Law of Armed Conflict” scheduled from 20 March – 22 March 2026.

This workshop is specially designed for law students, interns, young advocates, researchers, academicians, judicial aspirants, and legal professionals who wish to gain a practical, analytical, and hands-on understanding of International Humanitarian Law and its application during armed conflicts.

The workshop provides a step-by-step exploration of the law governing armed conflicts, beginning with the foundations and sources of IHL, classification of armed conflicts, and core humanitarian principles, moving through war crimes and international accountability mechanisms, and culminating in practical application through case studies and simulated advocacy exercises.

About the Speaker

Sakshi Kothari is a distinguished Advocate practising before the Madhya Pradesh High Court and currently serving as an Assistant Professor at ICFAI University, Dehradun. She brings together strong academic credentials and substantial courtroom experience, enabling her to bridge the gap between legal theory and practical application. Her dual role as a practising advocate and academician allows her to contribute meaningfully both to litigation practice and to the academic development of aspiring legal professionals.

She holds a BBA LL.B. degree from Amity University, which laid a strong foundation in both business administration and law, equipping her with interdisciplinary insight into commercial and corporate matters. Further strengthening her academic profile, she pursued an LL.M. in International Trade and Investment Law from Gujarat Maritime University, where she developed specialized expertise in global trade regulations, cross-border investments, and international commercial frameworks. Her academic pursuits reflect a consistent commitment to excellence and specialization in evolving areas of law.

Beyond her formal qualifications, Sakshi has actively engaged in numerous legal training programs, workshops, and seminars, contributing both as a volunteer and as a speaker. Her participation in these academic and professional platforms has enriched her understanding of contemporary legal issues and enhanced her advocacy and teaching skills. With a comprehensive grasp of legal principles, analytical clarity, and practical courtroom exposure, she stands out as a dedicated professional committed to legal education, effective advocacy, and continuous professional growth.
