About the Opportunity

Invesco is inviting applications for the position of Legal Analyst. The selected candidate will work closely with legal teams across the Americas, EMEA, APAC, and Canada, supporting global legal operations through contract management, corporate governance, regulatory filings, legal research, compliance reviews, and investment fund documentation.

Experience Required

1–3 years of relevant legal work experience, preferably with an investment advisor, mutual fund group, or in a regulated legal environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Legal Teams across the Americas, EMEA, APAC, and Canada on global legal projects.
  • Draft, review, analyse, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements, including:
    • Software License Agreements
    • SaaS and Cloud Agreements
    • Vendor and Commercial Agreements
    • Partner Agreements
    • Professional Services Agreements
    • Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
  • Upload agreements, amendments, and schedules to online document repositories and maintain accurate legal records.
  • Respond to legal subpoenas, IRS summons, DOJ and Grand Jury subpoenas, restraining notices, Letters of Instruction (LOIs), and garnishment notices.
  • Update fund disclosure documents for Retail and ETF Funds in coordination with global legal teams.
  • Prepare and file Post-Effective Amendments to fund registration statements.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly Interval Fund Tender Offer filings and related board documentation.
  • Conduct legal research on historical fund trades and assist with class action and bankruptcy recovery claims.
  • Support disclosure of portfolio manager holdings and institutional private fund documentation.
  • Prepare board books, agendas, meeting materials, and corporate governance documents.
  • Review and update annual registration statements and disclosure documents for investment funds.
  • Support derivatives legal documentation, including ISDA Amendments, Account Control Agreements, and FX Spot Letters.
  • Review compliance policies to identify legal and regulatory risks and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with special legal projects and provide support to global legal operations.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should possess:

  • A Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
  • 1–3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the investment management, financial services, or regulatory sector.
  • Understanding of commercial contracts and technology agreements.
  • Knowledge of securities laws, investment funds, or corporate governance will be an added advantage.
  • Strong legal drafting, analytical, research, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with global teams and flexible work schedules.
