About RGSoIPL
Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law (RGSoIPL) is the only Law School in the whole IIT system. RGSoIPL was established in the year 2006 with the endeavour to integrate technology and law to build lawyers with expertise to deal with legal issues in the interface of technology and law. We aspire to produce lawyers with interdisciplinary strength.
RGSoIPL believes in holistic growth, with research being a core area of focus. The RGSoIPLandits faculty constantly strives to cultivate and nurture the spirit of excellence among the students. The educational curriculum of the School includes a three-year Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B. Hons. in IP Law), a two-year Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M), and a Doctoral Programme (PhD).
About the Conference
The Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law (RGSoIPL) in collaboration with West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS) and National Law University Meghalaya are conducting a 2-days Conference to explore contemporary trends in crime, justice and technology and comprehend the future prospects, including inherent challenges that are likely to confront the established notions of criminal law and justice.

Interested persons may submit abstracts on any other topic within the broad theme of the Conference.
Who Can Attend?
The Conference on Crime, Justice, Technology: Trends and Future Prospects is open for academicians, researchers, practitioners, and professionals otherwise engaged in the criminology and criminal justice domain as well as interested learners and students.
It will serve as a platform for a vibrant discussion and exchange of ideas related to contemporary issues of crime, justice and technology.
Submission Guidelines
Abstract On the basis of the above-mentioned themes or any other topic related to the broad themes of the Conference, the participants are requested to submit an abstract of a maximum of 250 words in .doc/docx format to the form given below the post. The abstract must include a clear indication of the objectives, methodology, and implications.
All abstracts will be subject to blind review and only those abstracts approved by the reviewers will be selected to submit their complete paper for the final presentation. The criteria for evaluation by the reviewers are based on Relevance, Methodology and Originality.
After abstract approval, the participants are requested to register and send their full papers to clconference23@gmail.com. The full papers should be between 7,000 and 10,000 words in length and should be accompanied by the approved abstract.
Each paper may not have more than two authors. Please note that full papers will be subject to double-blind peer review and selected papers will be published.
Formatting Guidelines
Abstract: Title style– (Bold) Times New Roman, Font Size– 12, line spacing– Single. The abstract may include keywords (maximum: four). The following details must also be mentioned in the body of the email:
- Title of paper and the relevant theme;
- Name of the author (s) [max. two authors];
- Author affiliations,
- A Brief bio-data of the author(s) (max. 100 words);
- Contact no. and Email of the author(s).
Paper: Font: Times New Roman; Font Size-12; Line Spacing-1.5. Regarding the Footnote, Font Size will be 10 and Line Spacing-1. Citation style: OSCOLA 4th Edition.

The payment link shall be shared after the selection of the Abstract. In case of joint submission, both are required to pay fees separately in order to obtain a presentation and participation certificate. Registration fee for the conference includes a conference kit, lunch, and high tea.
Accommodation is available on request in the New Technology Guest House, IIT Kharagpur on a payment basis as per the following (request to be made during Abstract Submission): Single Occupancy (Rs. 1500+GST), Double Occupancy (Rs. 2000+GST). Sharing occupancy can be made available.
