About the Opportunity
Emilo Ventures Private Limited is inviting applications for the position of Legal & Compliance Intern / Executive – Grievance Officer. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting legal and regulatory compliance, handling user grievances, coordinating with law enforcement and regulatory authorities, and advising internal teams on technology and digital-policy matters.
The role provides an opportunity for law graduates and early-career legal professionals to gain practical experience in Technology Law, Privacy Law, Intermediary Compliance, and Digital Regulation.

Experience Required
0–2 years of experience in corporate law, technology law, compliance, digital policy, or a related field.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable Indian laws and regulations governing digital platforms.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
- Support compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
- Act as the primary point of contact for law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, and government requests.
- Receive, manage, and resolve user grievances within the applicable statutory timelines.
- Prepare and publish monthly compliance reports as required under Indian intermediary regulations.
- Advise internal teams on legal, regulatory, policy, and compliance-related matters.
- Monitor developments in Indian internet regulations, privacy laws, and intermediary obligations.
- Assist in drafting legal, compliance, grievance-related, and regulatory communications.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of legal and compliance matters.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in corporate law, technology law, compliance, digital policy, or related areas.
- Strong understanding of:
- Indian Internet and Technology Laws
- Information Technology Rules, 2021
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
- Intermediary compliance requirements
- Privacy and data-protection regulations
- Excellent legal drafting and communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder-management and problem-solving abilities.
- Additional qualifications in technology law, privacy, compliance, or related areas will be an added advantage.
Remuneration
Remuneration shall be as per company standards and commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
