About the Speaker
Shiv Kumar K. Iyer (IRS Retd.) is a distinguished former officer of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and a retired Assistant Director at NACIN (National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics), with over three decades of extensive experience in drug law enforcement, customs intelligence, and indirect taxation. Throughout his illustrious career, he has played a significant role in investigating and combating narcotics-related offences, enforcing drug control laws, and contributing to the development of effective enforcement strategies in India.
Mr. Iyer possesses deep expertise in the NDPS Act, NDPS Rules, and the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, and has been actively involved in handling complex matters relating to narcotics control, customs enforcement, and regulatory compliance. His vast practical experience spans intelligence gathering, investigations, prosecution support, and capacity building for law enforcement agencies.
In addition to his enforcement career, Mr. Iyer is a renowned Lead Faculty on NDPS Laws, having trained thousands of officers, legal professionals, and students through various academic and professional programs. His professional journey reflects a rare combination of field experience, legal expertise, and a commitment to advancing knowledge in the areas of narcotics law, customs intelligence, and indirect taxation.
