About the Speaker
Adv. Sakshi Aswal is a Law Professor at AAFT University, where she is actively involved in both academic teaching and practical legal work. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she handles intellectual property matters for the University’s Fashion Designing Department, advising on issues related to copyrights, trademarks, and design protection.
She holds an LL.M. from O.P. Jindal Global University and has received advanced training in intellectual property law from prestigious institutions such as Harvard University and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Her professional experience includes collaborations with leading law firms, including Khaitan & Co. and IndusLaw, where she gained exposure to high-value commercial and IP-related matters.
Previously, Adv. Aswal served as an Editor at Manupatra, one of India’s leading legal research platforms. This role strengthened her expertise in legal research and analysis, which she now seamlessly integrates into her teaching methodology, ensuring that students develop strong doctrinal understanding alongside practical, industry-relevant skills.
