About Nani Palkhivala Arbitration Centre
Nani Palkhivala Arbitration Centre (NPAC), is a non-profit company registered under section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956. NPAC was founded by the Palkhivala Foundation to promote institutional arbitration in India, keeping in mind the growing burden on Indian courts and the inordinate delay in the disposal of cases.
About the Competition
Nani Palkhivala Arbitration Centre (NPAC) is pleased to announce an Essay competition on Arbitration. The competition is open to current students of Law in any College or University in India.
General Details
- Prize winners will be announced on September 10, 2024.
- Prize winners will be awarded their prizes at the International Conference hosted by NPAC in New Delhi on Saturday, October 19th 2024.
- They will be provided to & fro train charges in III A/C.
- Conference Registration fee will be exempted for the prize winners.
Topic
“Extending Curative Jurisdiction to Arbitration Matters – Exploring the Consequences.”
Submission Guidelines
- One entry per person.
- Word Limit: 2500 words (excluding footnotes).
- Joint authorship is not allowed.
- The essay must be the original work of the author.
- The essay must be typed in double spacing.
- The essay can be sent in Word doc. or pdf. Format.
- The first page should contain the details viz; Name, College or University you are studying, Postal address, Mobile no. & Mail id.
- Entries must be enclosed with a bonafide certificate from the Dean/Principal of your College or University.
- The jury’s decision is final.

- Third Prize – Rs. 5,000/-
