Qualifications
Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology/AMIE with not less than 65% marks, as per respective Institute/University norms (55% for SC/ST/PWBD candidates). Candidates must have appeared for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) —2023. A candidate with the prescribed degree identified for the disciplines as given below can only apply for the post of EET in the respective.
Selection Process
Eligible candidates must have appeared for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2023 and must have qualified in the exam. Candidates shall be shortlisted for document verification based on GATE-2023 performance, from amongst the candidates who apply against this advertisement in NTPC. Further, the candidates will be extended “Offer of Appointment” subject to meeting the advertised eligibility criteria. Please note that only GATE marks of 2023 will be valid for EET-2023 recruitment.
Placement
- The selected candidates shall undergo one-year training at various places.
- The final place of posting will be decided after completion of training. Candidates can be placed, across the country, in any of the projects/ stations including Subsidiaries/JVs companies of NTPC.
- The incumbents would be posted at projects/stations for shift operation of power plants and will be required to work in shifts (including night shift).
- Application for the post will be considered as the consent of the candidate to work in shifts (including night shift).
Salary
Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.40,000-1,40,000 at the basic pay of Rs. 40,000/- (El Grade). The other benefits such as the Dearness Allowance, other perquisites and allowances, terminal benefits, etc. will be admissible as per company rules in force from time to time during training /after absorption.
Service Agreement Bond
The selected candidates who belong to General, EWS and OBC categories will be required to execute a service agreement bond of Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rs. 2,50,000/- for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories) to serve the company for at least 3 years after successful completion of one-year training.
