Materra, a planet-centric technology startup, is seeking passionate and driven individuals to join our legal team in Ahmedabad, India for a 6-week hybrid internship (4 weeks in Ahmedabad office and 2 weeks remote). As a Legal Intern, you will assist our Legal team in various tasks, including legal research, drafting documents and providing guidance to different departments. This role offers exposure to diverse legal matters and the opportunity to work alongside a creative core team of engineers, scientists and many experienced professionals.

Materra is seeking passionate and driven individuals to join their legal team in Ahmedabad, India for a 6-week hybrid internship (4 weeks in Ahmedabad office and 2 weeks remote).
Role and Responsibilities
- Assisting the Head of Legal & Finance and Junior Legal Executive;
- Creating and maintaining a document repository and contract tracker;
- Reviewing and vetting NDA drafts as per vendor terms;
- Standardizing regular agreements, legal memos, and other legal documents;
- Conducting legal research and preparing compliance checklists;
- Drafting research memos on various legal topics; and
- Providing legal guidance and support to different departments within the company.
Eligibility
- 4th or 5th-year student enrolled in a law undergraduate program.
- Fluency in English and Hindi.
- Two prior internship experiences with law firm(s) or in-house legal team(s).
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of legal principles and procedures
- Proficient in using legal research tools and technology.
