About the Opportunity
Revolut is hiring a Head of Legal to lead its legal function in India. The selected candidate will advise on complex legal and regulatory matters relating to financial products, banking, payments, commercial transactions, and compliance. This leadership role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact legal issues while supporting the growth of one of the world’s leading fintech companies.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Advise on legal and regulatory issues relating to new and existing financial products in India.
- Provide legal guidance on banking, payments, and financial services regulations.
- Negotiate and review commercial agreements, including operations, service, marketing, and third-party contracts.
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise internal stakeholders on legal and compliance implications.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on new products, market expansion, compliance, privacy, and security matters.
- Design and implement efficient contract management and legal operations processes.
- Develop and maintain standard legal agreements, contract management systems, and legal databases.
- Lead legal support for strategic commercial transactions and resolve issues arising from existing business relationships.
- Handle pre-litigation legal disputes, inquiries, and risk management matters.
- Drive ongoing compliance reviews, regulatory filings, internal policies, and governance processes.
- Provide timely legal advice on business-critical issues across multiple functions.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should possess:
- An LL.B. degree from a recognized university (LL.M. preferred).
- 10+ years of legal experience within a regulated financial institution or similar organization in India.
- Strong understanding of the Indian regulatory framework governing digital banking, payments, and financial services.
- Expertise in banking and financial regulations, commercial contracts, and compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and make sound legal decisions under pressure.
- Experience in managing complex commercial transactions and legal risk.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a regulated fintech or startup environment.
- Expertise in launching and scaling banking or financial services operations.
- Knowledge of legal issues affecting technology companies, including corporate structuring and intra-group arrangements.
Remuneration
Remuneration shall be as per company standards and commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
