The Israeli military has conducted a targeted operation at Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza, which is currently used as a shelter to serve thousands of injured civilians and the Palestinian refugees as a part of Israel’s campaign to defeat Hamas and rescue hostages. In response to the global criticism passed on about the Gaza’s hospital’s worsening conditions, which talks about how Israel released a video of allegedly showing weapons in a children’s hospital which also covers the testimonies and the sexual violence committed by Hamas. The Israeli army is claiming their raid is not to harm the children and the injured as the medical force of Hamas is currently down so instead of harming them or threatening them they are lending a their hand with the intentions to transfer required medical equipments, incubators and baby food to the hospital, stating that they are here to evacuate patients and residents who sought shelter beforehand.
Hamas holds the Israeli army and President Biden responsible for the raid, alleging the white house had been too lenient with Israel operative as tit liked and giving the state permission to carry out the operation while supporting their claims that the hospitals are used for military purposes. Israel mentioned that Hamas had built tunnels beneath Gaza’s hospitals, using patients and workers as human shields. In response of this claim both Hamas and the hospital officials denies it. Al-Shifa Hospital faced the ultimate worsening conditions in the region which includes the power outrages and the need for the mass graves due to decomposing bodies. The hospital director has also reported about multiple deaths due to lack of resources in the epicentre hospital of Gaza.
