About the Speaker
Adv. Lenna Joshy is a dynamic and detail-oriented legal professional specializing in maritime law, arbitration, and corporate litigation. A graduate of Government Law College, Thrissur, with a BBA.LLB degree, she has built a strong foundation in legal research, contract law, and dispute resolution. Her academic achievements are complemented by hands-on experience gained through internships and apprenticeship programs at the Supreme Court of India, Kerala High Court, and several reputed law firms, which provided her early exposure to litigation, corporate strategies, and arbitration proceedings.
Currently serving as an Associate at United Maritime Law Chambers, Lenna advises clients on a broad range of maritime legal issues, including cargo claims, charter party disputes, ship arrests, marine insurance, and compliance with international maritime conventions. She closely works with Mr. Hari Narayan on high-stakes arbitration and litigation matters related to freight forwarding agreements, vessel mortgage disputes, and maritime lien enforcement, showcasing her proficiency in navigating complex legal frameworks that govern international maritime trade.
Outside of her professional practice, Lenna is deeply committed to legal education and mentorship. She is the founder of Lex Oraculi, a non-profit mentorship initiative aimed at supporting law students from underrepresented colleges in Kerala through one-on-one guidance, legal training workshops, and moot court preparation. Her efforts have been recognized in Lawctopus’ Star Student Interview series. Additionally, she has actively contributed to the legal community through research paper presentations, moot court competitions, and publications on topics such as IPR, constitutional law, and gender justice in reputed legal journals and forums.
