About the Organisation

The Centre for Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights (CIIPR) is a research center under the aegis of the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab (“RGNUL”) that aims to promote research in the IPR specialization course which is to synergize all types of IPRs in all the fields of sciences, technologies, engineering, and other fields of studies and further promote innovations in the interest of all the stakeholders.

The Centre is organizing a Patent Drafting Workshop on “Unlocking Innovation: Mastering the Essential Techniques of Patent Drafting”. The resource person for the Workshop is Mr. Vikas Asawat, a Practising Advocate and Patent Attorney. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur with a specialization in IPR laws. He is a Practicing Advocate and Patent Attorney, working in the field for the last 13 years. He is also a visiting faculty at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Patent law is a specialized and in-demand field that is continuously growing in India. It is imperative in today’s time and age to know its practical application as well. This workshop will equip you to draft strong patent applications, communicate effectively with clients on patents, and stand out in the job market.

Additionally, to gauge learning and engagement, a discussion-based questionnaire consisting of twenty questions (MCQ type) will be circulated among the participants of the workshop. The participants scoring 50% marks or more will be given a certificate only upon registration for the workshop.
