The report emphasizes that the detrimental effects of climate change, such as heat waves, wildfires, and heavy rainfall, which Americans are already experiencing, will intensify with rising temperatures.
• The Fifth National Climate Assessment, published every five years, provides a thorough analysis of the latest advancements in climate science from 14 different federal agencies. NOAA, NASA, EPA and National Science Foundation are all included is more extensive than previous editions due to improved climate modeling techniques and a more holistic examination of the physical and social consequences of climate change.
