Recent reports suggest that the USA government has released a statement advising Israel, that no more “Palestinian civilians” should be targeted by Israel’s motive to completely eradicate the Hamas militants.
As, the Israel-Hamas crisis has already led to many civilian casualties, it is high time that the civilians are kept away from the war and should not suffer more than they already have without any fault of theirs.
This statement is emphasized upon so much at this time because Israeli Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has clearly said that once the ceasefire finishes, they will restart the series of attack on Hamas militants and are planning not to stop before they are eradicated completely.
The US president and top officials showcased their support to Israel in its goal to eliminate the Hamas control and power over Gaza and the threat posed to Israel’ civilians but still Israel is being criticized both domestically and internationally with increasing Palestinian death toll, and recently has started putting high pressure on Israel that the campaign after truce ends should be thoroughly thought over.
The fact that this ceasefire has brought a sense of relief to civilians on both side and led to a cooperative act of releasing hostages’ day by day is of great importance currently.
And this pause has also given time to officials to supply the much-required aid to Gaza.
Therefore, US government and other agencies are bidding on ways to get the ceasefire extended and eventually lead to end the war.
