The series of attacks has restarted in Gaza between Israel and Hamas, as soon as the weeklong ceasefire ended. Both the groups are blaming each other for breakdown of the truce. Israel was the first to announce the restart of the attacks.
Hamas declared that they were offering to release more hostages, but Israel had already decided to restart the war with more intensity. Israel justified this decision by stating that Hamas failed to release the expected number of hostages, it released 2 less hostages than expected recently when only 8 hostages were released. Hamas was also accused of not releasing the Israeli female hostages.
Qatar released a statement saying, talks are still going on for negotiations, but Israel’s restarted attacks have made this negotiation difficult. According to reports total of 105 hostages have been released in exchange of 240 Palestinian prisoners.
As the ceasefire expired, Gaza officials reported that approximately hundred people were killed in the air strikes. Israel stated that it hit a total of 200 terror targets in the Gaza strip. Israel made a clear statement that Hamas only understands force and Israel won’t stop before until it achieves its goal, while justifying their acts.
