Y.S.Vivekananda Reddy was a member of Indian National congress and the brother of late Andr Pradesh C.M,Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy. In 2019 he was found murdered at his residence in Pulivendula. The case was handed over to CBI in July 2020 as it was initially probed by the special investigation team. In the apprehension raised by his wife and daughter the top court directed the trail to be transferred to special CBI court in Hyderabad.
The bench judge directed Yerra Gangi Reddy to surrender before the CBI on 5th may in an impugned order dated on April 27 2022. The same order by the court has directed to release the accused on bail from July 1st.
