About the Organizers-

The ICFAI University, Jaipur, a significant constituent of the esteemed ICFAI Group which is a well-known network of educational institutions in India, stands as a prominent private educational institution situated in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Established under the ICFAI University, Jaipur Act, 2011 (Act No. 26 of 2011) enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan, the university operates under the purview of Notification No. F. 2(26) Vidhi/2/2011 dated September 22, 2011.

ICFAI Law School, a constituent of the ICFAl University, Jaipur was established in the year 2011 with an objective to deliver qualitative legal education to the new generation of legal professionals. The Law School has emerged as a centre of excellence in legal education, offering comprehensive five-year integrated programs-B.A.-LL.B. (Hons.), BB. A-LL.B. (Hons.), LL. B, LL.M and Ph.D.- designed to blend theoretical learning with practical exposure.

About the Competition-

This edition of the Moot Court Competition focuses on Environmental Law. The competition aims to foster critical thinking and practical legal skills. It provides a platform for meaningful dialogue on protecting the environment through law.

Details of the event-

Shri N J Yasaswy 4th Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2026, scheduled to be held on 31st January 2026, Prelims- online and 21st-22nd February 2026, Advanced Rounds offline at The ICFAI University, Jaipur Campus.

Eligibility-

Students enrolled in three‑year LL.B., integrated five‑year LL.B. and LL.M. programmes in the current academic year; maximum of two teams per institution, first‑come, first‑served basis.

Location-

The ICFAI University, Jaipur near Cambay Golf Resort, Agra Road, Jamdoli, Jaipur- 302031 Rajasthan

The Online Preliminary Rounds Results will be declared on 2nd February, 2026 and total of top 16 teams will be qualified for OFFLINE Advanced Rounds at the institute.

Registration/Submission Procedure-

Teams must register themselves latest by 30th December, 2025. The registration fee details (Screenshot/Receipt etc) should be uploaded to the link attached at the end of the post.

Registration Link will be closed at 11:59 p.m. on 30th December, 2025.

Any change in the team composition in terms of the members participating can be made only by prior intimation to the organizers.

Important Dates-

• Last Date for Seeking Clarifications: 02^nd January, 2026
• Submission of Memorials (Soft-Copy): 15^th January, 2026
• Inaugural Ceremony, Draw of Lots and Exchange of Memorial for Preliminary Rounds 1 & 2: 30^th January, 2026
• Preliminary Rounds 1 & 2 (online): 31^st January, 2026
• Results Declaration- Preliminary Rounds: 02^nd February, 2026
• Last date to register for Advanced Rounds (On-campus): 08^th February 2026
• Advanced Rounds and Valedictory Ceremony: 21^st -22^nd February, 2026

Registration Fees-

The teams are required to pay a fee of INR 2,500 per team for the Preliminary Rounds. The teams qualifying for the Advanced Rounds and availing the accommodation shall be required to complete a separate registration by paying an additional fee of INR 2,500 per team, in accordance with the Rulebook of the Moot.

(Those who are not availing accommodation are not subjected to this additional fees).

Prizes-

The Winning team will be awarded with Cash Prize of INR 30,000/- along with a Trophy and Certificate of Merit.

The Runners-Up team will be awarded with Cash Prize of INR 20,000/- along with a Trophy and Certificate of Merit.

The Best Memorial will be awarded with Cash Prize of INR 6,000/- along with a Trophy and Certificate of Merit.

The Best Speaker will be awarded with Cash Prize of INR 6,000/- along with a Trophy and Certificate of Merit.⁠

Certificate of Participation will be awarded to each and every participant.
