About the Organiser

Gujarat Law Society (GLS), established in 1927, is one of Gujarat’s largest and most prestigious educational institutions, with over 33 institutions and 24,000 students across two campuses in Ahmedabad. Known for its rich history, the society has produced distinguished alumni in law, business, and public service.

Faculty of Law

In 2015, GLS launched its Faculty of Law, offering B.A.LL.B., B.B.A.LL.B.(H), LL.B.(H), and LL.M. programs, and has since gained recognition for excellence in legal education, including a spot in the Forbes Legal Power List 2020.

Faculty of Law (FOL), a constituent department of GLS University, is a premier destination for students interested in establishing a virtuous career in Law and aiming to become torch bearers of Justice. The faculty of Law has emerged as the most preferred destination for legal education. The college has the advantage of senior and well-experienced faculty members in the field of Law.

The senior practising advocates also contribute to teaching and providing experiential learning to law aspirants. The teaching pedagogy includes classroom discussions, case studies, interactive presentations, guest lectures, expert sessions, seminars, conferences, and case law methods coupled with intensive practical training through moot courts.

About the Moot Court Competition

This competition aims to provide a challenging yet fun courtroom experience to law aspirants to help them develop their analytical, critical reasoning, and advocacy skills without the need for legal knowledge or any legal training. An interactive event will allow participants to learn about the legal system and what it is like to be a lawyer. The participants will analyse the factual matrix of the situation provided and argue on the same. This year’s problem involves a complex constitutional law problem.

Registration Details

The participating institutions must have to register by filling the Google form before November 25, 2024 by 11.59 pm. Final registration, with a fee of Rs. 3500/- per team (or Rs. 5000/- with accommodation), must be completed along with a signed form from the institution head.
