About the Opportunity
PepsiCo is inviting applications for the position of Senior Manager – Legal. The selected candidate will provide end-to-end legal support to the Beverage category business in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, advising on product launches, marketing campaigns, contracts, litigation, regulatory compliance, and corporate reputation management.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end legal support and strategic guidance to the Beverage category teams across India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
- Advise business teams on legal risks relating to product launches, marketing initiatives, promotions, and channel support.
- Review and approve product claims, advertising campaigns, promotional materials, packaging artworks, and marketing activation plans to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Work closely with Product Development, Nutrition Science, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs (SRA), and Public Policy & Government Affairs (PPGA) teams to assess legal implications of new products and business initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate legal, regulatory, and reputational risks affecting the Beverage business, including risks arising from social media platforms.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, including celebrity endorsement agreements, media buying agreements, brand promotion contracts, key account agreements, and other commercial documentation.
- Review internal approval memoranda under Multi-Year Contracts (MYC) and recommend appropriate legal risk mitigation measures.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel to manage and strategize marketing-related litigation.
- Advise stakeholders on developments relating to Food Laws, Legal Metrology, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support regulatory representations before relevant authorities to safeguard PepsiCo’s business interests.
- Conduct legal compliance and awareness training programmes for employees.
- Provide legal guidance during Code of Conduct (COC) investigations and deliver training on FCPA and Anti-Bribery compliance.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should possess:
- A degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
- 12 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate legal practice or an FMCG organization.
- Excellent knowledge of:
- Food Laws
- Legal Metrology
- Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) regulations
- Social Media Laws
- Commercial and Contract Laws
- Other laws applicable to the FMCG industry
- Strong legal research, interpretation, drafting, and contract negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and networking abilities.
Remuneration
Remuneration shall be as per company standards and commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
