This competition is designed to provide a platform and motivate students to engage with public policy formulation on contemporary, interdisciplinary issues. The final round, scheduled for 21 September 2024, will take place at VMLS, Chennai.

About the Public Policy Competition

Governments face challenges delivering policy objectives amid economic uncertainty, technological change, and budget constraints. In India, the policy-making landscape is shifting, with innovative ideas emerging but often implemented through outdated practices. The issue is not a lack of drive but a need for proper training, skills, and knowledge.

The Public Policy Competition aims to address this by providing a platform for aspiring policymakers to showcase and refine their skills. The competition will help participants develop critical skills, present innovative solutions, receive expert feedback, and network with peers and professionals.

The competition is open to undergraduate students from colleges/ universities located in the states of Tamil Nadu/ Karnataka/ Kerala/ Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana.

By participating, students will contribute to effective policy-making in India and position themselves as future policymakers ready to tackle complex issues.
