About NMIMS Kirit P. Mehta School of Law
NMIMS Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, Mumbai, a part of the SVKM group under NMIMS (deemed-to-be university), was approved by the Bar Council of India in 2013, which is also its year of establishment. The School of Law instills professional virtues in a well-planned manner, without undermining ‘societal values’.
The academics and support mechanism in Kirit P. Mehta School of Law is to facilitate all the determined students to give their best to be the ‘Best’ when it comes to applying theory in practice. The legal skills cultivated at SOL over five years equip students to transform challenges into benchmarks in the legal world and withstand economic, social, political and judicial scrutiny.
Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, NMIMS aims to refine students’ competency by engaging them in curricular and extracurricular activities. Qualified faculties and support staff assist learners to integrate into the course and participate in events easily. About Centre for Research and Conferences
The Centre for Research and Conferences (formerly the Centre for Excellence) of NMIMS Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, Mumbai, was established as the Centre for Legal Research and Application, in 2018. The Centre for Research and Conferences aims to enhance legal research and development significantly, through its integration with allied disciplines, and through extensive exploration of contemporary developments in the law.
The Centre aims to promote effective ideation and provide a platform for unconventional, pioneering recommendations to policy-making institutions. The Centre for Research and Conferences undertakes a compendious examination and critical analysis of governmental institutions, executive powers, legal policies, and judicial guidelines.
The Centre for Research and Conferences endeavours to promote effective ideation and provision of a platform to formulate unconventional and pioneering recommendations to various policy making institutions for making existing legal provisions more humane and functional.
All new ideas and innovations emanating from budding legal minds that work towards access to justice are welcomed and will be guided by expert resource persons.
About the Event
The two-day National Conference is designed to comprehensively explore contemporary global issues, blending the insights of legal experts and practitioners with the fresh perspectives of students, researchers, and academicians.
This two-day event, scheduled for the 21st and 22nd December, will feature in-depth discussions and comprehensive sessions on emerging legal reforms and developments. We will inaugurate the event on the 21st with dynamic sessions, all selected participants will take the stage to showcase their groundbreaking papers, setting the tone for an inspiring and insightful experience.
The second day promises a riveting Panel Discussion featuring Judges, Advocates, and representatives from prominent Law firms. This distinguished group will convene to engage in thought-provoking conversations addressing a wide spectrum of critical global issues.
These discussions will cover global governance, economic development, climate change, international relations, and humanitarian concerns. Students, researchers, and academicians will take center stage, presenting their ideas and views on contemporary global issues.

Guidelines for the Abstracts
- Abstract should not exceed the word limit of 300 words.
- The abstract should be submitted in doc/docx format with the following specifications:
- Font Type: Times New Roman
- Font Size: 12 pts
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Alignment: Justified
- The abstract should mention the following specific details on the front page
- Name of the Author
- Contact Number
- Email Id
- Title of the Submission.
- Rename the document as Name of Author_Title during submission of the abstract.
Guidelines for Research Paper
- Original research papers are welcomed on the themes mentioned but are not restricted to the sub-themes as given.
- The author (s) shall specify in their submission:
- Title of the paper with the sub-theme.
- Names of author (s).
- Name of the College/University.
- Email address and contact number.
- Sub-theme under which submission is made.
- The abstract and the Full paper should be submitted in doc/docx format with the following specification:
- Length of Full Paper: 2500 – 6000 words
- Font Type: Times New Roman
- Font Size: 12 pts Line spacing: 1.5
- Footnotes Font Types: Times New Roman
- Footnotes: Font size: 10 pts
- Footnotes Line spacing: 1 Margin to be 1 inch on all sides.
- Follow the Bluebook; A Uniform System of Citation
- (21st Edition) for footnoting.
- A presentation will be made by the authors through PPT or any other means of presentation, upon selection of their manuscript. The Presentation should be of a maximum of 10 minutes.
- All submissions should be original and non-plagiarized work and should not have been submitted for publication/published elsewhere in any form. Similarity and Al detection should not be more than 20%.
- Plagiarism report shall be checked by Turnitin.
- The paper can be co-authored. However, a maximum of two co-authors (three authors) per entry are allowed.
- Rename your document in this format before submission: TeamCode_Title (e.g. TC01_Title of the paper)

- Abstract Submission: Interested Participants are required to submit the Abstract by 24th November, 2024 by clicking here.
- For Payment: After the acceptance of abstract is received, the selected participants are required to make the payment of the registration fees as mentioned further in the brochure & fill the following Google form by clicking here.
- For Full Paper Submission: Paper presenters are required to send their papers by 14th December 2024 in word doc. format. The paper should be attached to the google form by clicking here.
- For PPT Submission: Paper presenters are required to send their Power Point Presentations by 19th December, 2024. The ppt should be attached to the google form by clicking here.
On Confirmation of abstract, each participant shall be provided with a unique Code (e.g., T01, T02, etc.) which shall be used by both, the CRC and the participants over the course of the conference.
