MADRAS HC: Marriage is not only for physical pleasure, but for producing children

Justice Krishnan Ramaswamy, hearing a case regarding custody of a child between a lawyer couple, observed that a marriage between husband and wife can be consummated, but their relationship with their children as father and mother cannot. For every child his father and mother are eternal, even if either of the parents remarries another person.

Chennai: The Madras High Court has made a big comment regarding marriage and child upbringing. The Madras High Court has observed that the concept of marriage is not merely for satisfying bodily pleasures, but it is primarily for the purpose of procreation. This expands the family chain. The court said that the child born out of marriage is the link between two husband and wife.

Justice Krishnan Ramaswamy, hearing a case regarding custody of a child between a lawyer couple, observed that a marriage between husband and wife can be consummated, but their relationship with their children as father and mother cannot. For every child his father and mother are eternal, even if either of the parents remarries another person.

According to the news of Times of India, the wife had complained to the court that her lawyer husband is not allowing her to meet the child and thus he has failed to comply with the orders of the court. So the wife approached the court and alleged parental alienation (inciting or opposing the child by one parent to keep the child away from the other parent).
