Recently the Delhi Court takes cognizance on the FIR which was made by the Indian wrestlers against BJP MP And President of wrestler federation of India Mr Brij Bhushan. Earlier 6 wrestlers has filed first information report (FIR) against Brij Bushan. After which the police filed the charge sheet against Mr Singh in the offences under Sections 354 (outraging modesty), 354A (sexually coloured remarks), 354D (stalking) and 506 (1) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code[1](IPC) and also alleging that his behaviour towards the wrestlers were not amiable.
Earlier several wrestlers of India protested against Brij Bushan but no concerned authority took the cognizance to take action against Brij Bushan after which wrestlers went to Supreme Court for filing the FIR. Subsequently the police informed that the FIR was registered and the investigation was on track.
The Delhi court is all set to take the cognizance of the charge sheet filed by the police in the sexual harassment of wrestlers and also sent summon to Brij Bhushan to be present on 18 July in the court.
