About the Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Associate to join our legal team. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and support contract negotiations and the drafting of agreements with partners, customers, and third-party vendors. This includes reviewing, structuring, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts to ensure alignment with legal, business, and operational objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in working with Software as a Service (SaaS) companies and should be comfortable navigating complex legal and commercial discussions. The role demands sound legal judgment, clarity in communication, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively.

We are looking for someone who is not only legally proficient but also willing to take initiative, work independently when needed, and contribute meaningfully to the development of legal processes and standards.
This is a Hybrid role with a mandatory 3 days per week work from the office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including but not limited to partnership agreements, customer contracts, licensing agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and vendor agreements, Employment law.
- Reviewing of DPA (Data Processing Agreement) and filling the Security Questionnaire.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and finance teams, to ensure contract terms and conditions meet business requirements and objectives.
- Conduct legal research and provide recommendations on contract terms, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
- Identify and mitigate potential legal risks in contract negotiations and propose appropriate solutions.
- Manage contract administration, including contract tracking, renewal reminders, and maintaining contract templates and databases.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and make necessary adjustments to contract templates and processes accordingly.
- Provide legal support and guidance on other legal matters as needed.
Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) preferred, LL.M
- Experience: 1 -2 years of experience as a legal associate or similar role, with a focus on contract negotiation and drafting.
- Previous experience working in a SaaS company or technology-driven organization is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using contract management software and other legal tools.
- Proficiency in using Excel, ERP tools, and other tools generally used by the accounting and finance team.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Used to working in a fast-paced, fun and collegial environment
