Vidhikarya came up to existence out of the sheer day to day life experiences shared by individuals, startups, companies, NGOs, Lawyers, MBAs, and many others. One commonality we found was that most of them found it difficult to get their legal work done. They found lot of hassles in getting some legal advice or legal work done, be it starting a new business, running and funding of NGOs, signing a lease agreement, sending a legal notice, getting draft contract vetted, etc. The list is long. The challenges were twofold, one the hefty legal fee and secondly the discomfort of the whole process of getting the legal work done.

About the Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Legal Associate with a strong background in Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT), Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal (DRAT), and SARFAESI Act matters. The ideal candidate will have prior experience handling litigation and enforcement actions for banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions.

Job Responsibilities:

Draft and file Original Applications (OAs), Securitization Applications (SAs), Affidavit in Opposition.
Represent clients in hearings before DRT, DRAT, and other relevant forums.
Advise clients on enforcement of security interests under the SARFAESI Act.
Manage timelines for legal notices including possession, demand, and auction notices.
Coordinate with clients, court staff, and government authorities for smooth handling of recovery cases.
Conduct legal research and keep up-to-date with changes in banking and recovery laws.

Eligibility & Qualifications:

L.L.B. degree from a recognised university; enrolment with Bar Council.
2+ years of experience in handling DRT/DRAT/SARFAESI matters.
Strong drafting, research, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
Experience working with banks or NBFCs on recovery portfolios.
Familiarity with the Recovery of Debts Act and related civil procedures.
