Vahura is India’s leading governance search and consulting firm. Set up by alumnus of the National Law School, Bangalore, our mission is to creatively catalyse the advancement of the governance-related profession. Role description
A leading player in India’s thermal power space is looking for an experienced legal professional to support its Power Business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end litigation across Civil, Commercial, Criminal, Environmental, Mining, Labour, Property & Land matters
- Independently handle labour, land and commercial disputes, including recovery proceedings through counsel engagement
- Develop and drive litigation strategy aligned with business objectives, including dispute minimization and cost optimization initiatives
- Coordinate closely with external counsels, solicitors, and regulatory authorities for effective case resolution
- Ensure statutory compliance across environmental, mining, industrial, labour & tax laws
- Draft and vet MoUs, LoIs, contracts, pleadings, affidavits and other legal documentation
- Provide strategic legal advisory to safeguard business interests and enable smooth operations
Key Requirements:
- LLB with 16–20 years’ experience with proven experience in the Indian Power sector
- Strong expertise in regulatory and compliance frameworks
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
