Role description
The role is part of the Global IP function, responsible for Patent drafting, filing, prosecution, maintenance of the patent portfolio.
Job Responsibilities
- Patent drafting, filing, prosecution, and maintenance of patents.
- Analyze and Draft office action response
- Coordinate and collaborate with Indian as well as foreign patent attorneys.
- Law firm Management
- Ensure compliance with global IP laws.
- Patent Opposition
- Attend Patent office hearings
- requires a strong understanding of Patent laws of different Jurisdiction, excellent drafting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with R&D and different stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain the UPL’s patent portfolio, including record-keeping and administrative tasks related to patent applications and prosecution
- Stay updated on national and international changes in patent laws and practices
- 8 to 10 years of experience
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Required Education And Experience
Minimum 7-9 years of relevant experience.
M.Sc. . (Agriculture, Pharma, Biotech).
Registered Patent agent.
Project management, MIS reporting.
Instrumental in establishing processes and governances.
