About the Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Associate with a strong background in corporate law to join our legal team. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a corporate legal environment, with proven expertise in drafting term sheets, operator agreements, and handling a wide range of corporate legal matters.
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial and legal documents, including but not limited to:
- Term sheets
- Operator agreements
- Shareholder agreements
- Service agreements
- Provide legal support for corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance policies.
- Liaise with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Support due diligence and other legal research work related to corporate matters.
- Maintain and update legal templates, contracts, and corporate records.
Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); Master’s degree (LLM) is a plus.
- 6 months+ of relevant experience in corporate law, preferably in a corporate legal department or law firm.
- Strong understanding of corporate legal frameworks, regulatory compliance, and contract law.
- Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate term sheets and operator agreements.
- Excellent communication, legal writing, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Experience in the real estate sector.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of corporate secretarial practices is an added advantage.
