About the Job Opportunity
As a Legal Counsel, you will provide legal support and advice to various business functions within the company, particularly concerning the gaming industry. You will be working closely with the management and the finance team, as well as external industry bodies, to ensure that the company’s legal obligations are met while enabling business growth. You will play a key role in advising on intellectual property (IP), regulatory compliance, licensing, contract negotiations, and dispute resolution
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive legal advice on a wide range of business matters, including corporate, commercial, intellectual property, and regulatory issues
- Identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them while supporting business objectives
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, client agreements, and partnership deals
- Ensure contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements while protecting the company’s interests
- Manage contract disputes and assist in resolution strategies
- Support corporate governance matters, including the drafting of resolutions and internal policies
- Develop and implement internal legal policies and training programs to promote best practices across the organization
- Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to industry standards, data privacy laws, and ethical business practices
- Advise on gaming industry regulations (e.g., data protection, consumer protection, gambling laws, and age ratings).
- Keep the company updated on changes in laws and regulations impacting gaming, including international compliance requirements.
Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Law degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in gaming, internet, entertainment, or big 4 companies.
- Experience in contract negotiation, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance related to gaming is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Strong knowledge of gaming industry regulations, intellectual property law, data privacy laws, and licensing agreements.
- Strong business acumen and ability to support commercial strategy while managing legal risks
