We are looking for a resourceful candidate to join our Legal and Compliance department based out of the firm’s office in Hyderabad, India. The Legal team is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving legal issues and risks for the firm. The team handles matters related to contract review, transactional and real estate legal support, litigation, employment, and intellectual property.
About the Job Opportunity
In this role, you will review a variety of data evaluation and license agreements and conduct comprehensive risk assessments with a special focus on MNPI and PII. You will also be involved in other legal and compliance projects such as assessment of potential consultants and the annual compliance evaluation of existing data vendors. Additionally, you will also get the opportunity to collaborate with attorneys in other offices of the D. E. Shaw group on various agreements and miscellaneous projects.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in law
- An impressive record of academic achievement along with 1-3 years of experience, including experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating licensing, technology, and other commercial contracts
- Exceptional organizational and analytical ability, outstanding judgment, keen attention to detail, and proven drafting and communication skills
- Excellent project planning and management skills
Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience in independently handling the review of license agreements and matters relating to MNPI and PII
