About the Job Opportunity
We are looking for a seasoned Legal Professional with strong expertise in Litigation Management to join our in-house legal team. The ideal candidate should have in-depth experience handling legal matters related to real estate, including land, customer, civil, and regulatory litigation. They will be responsible for managing all legal cases, liaising with external counsels, and ensuring legal compliance across ongoing and upcoming projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle and manage all litigation matters including civil, criminal, consumer, RERA, NCLT, and arbitration cases.
- Prepare legal documents including notices, plaints, affidavits, written statements, rejoinders, etc.
- Draft and review legal notices and responses to statutory authorities, customers, and third parties.
- Attend court hearings, represent the company where required, and coordinate with external legal counsels and advocates.
- Maintain litigation MIS, hearing schedules, status reports, and case documentation.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies like RERA, NGT, Pollution Control Board, Municipal Authorities, Revenue Offices, etc.
- Support other departments (Sales, Projects, Customer Service, Land & BD, etc.) on legal queries and documentation.
- Ensure legal risk mitigation across contracts, land acquisition, construction, and customer-related disputes.
- Assist in due diligence and title verification of real estate properties.
- Maintain strong knowledge of real estate laws, land laws, RERA, and evolving regulatory frameworks.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for case briefings and document gathering.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- LLB from a reputed university (LLM preferred).
- Minimum 9 – 12 years of litigation experience, with at least 7-8 years in the real estate industry.
- Strong command over real estate, civil, consumer, and regulatory laws.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to independently handle a large volume of cases and coordinate with multiple teams.
- Willingness to travel as per business/legal requirements.
- Prior experience with a real estate developer or legal firm handling real estate clients.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven.
- Experience working with RERA, NCLT, and high courts will be a plus.
