About the Organisation
A fast-growing player in the Fintech/BFSI sector, is seeking a driven Assistant Manager – Legal & Secretarial with hands-on experience in managing legal, compliance, and investor-related frameworks for high-growth startups and financial institutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal agreements (SHAs, SSAs, lending & lease agreements, etc.)
- Ensure investor compliance and fund management as per contractual terms
- Manage corporate and regulatory compliance in line with the Companies Act, RBI Guidelines, and startup-specific regulations
- Handle legal proceedings related to civil and criminal matters (including court appearances)
- Maintain strong legal documentation and governance for stakeholder agreements, vendor contracts, and government liaisons
- Provide legal counsel for fundraising, corporate governance, and strategic business decisions
- Liaise with internal teams, investors, and external legal advisors
Eligibility & Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in legal & compliance (Fintech/BFSI sector preferred)
- Excellent drafting skills in SHAs, SSAs, lending & lease agreements
- Strong understanding of startup legal landscape and investor compliance
- In-depth knowledge of the Companies Act and other applicable laws
- Experience in civil/criminal legal proceedings
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB)
- Company Secretary (CS) qualification
- Prior experience in startups or high-growth tech environments
- Familiarity with RBI Guidelines (especially updated to 2025)
- Knowledge of fund management, NBFC legal frameworks
