About the Organisation
All India Digital Cable Federation (AIDCF), is India’s apex body for Digital Multi System Operators (MSOs).
The federation works towards the overall growth of the sector and creates an environment for not only complete digitization of cable TV under regulatory guidelines but also delivers the benefits of digital services including broadband and other value added services to the people of India thus fulfilling the dream of ‘True Digital India.’
AIDCF is the official voice for the Indian digital cable TV industry and interacts with ministries, policy makers, regulators, financial institutions and technical bodies. It also provides a platform for discussion and exchange of ideas between these bodies and the service providers, who share a common interest in the development of digital cable TV in the country.
It also collaborates with other industry associations such as IBF, CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM association etc., with the objective of presenting an industry consensus view to the government on crucial issues relating to the growth and development of the industry.
Role Description
The All India Digital Cable Federation (AIDCF) – India’s apex body for Digital Multi-System Operators (MSOs) – is seeking a professional to manage its policy, legal, and regulatory affairs.
This role offers a chance to work at the intersection of law, policy, and Cable industry representation, engaging directly with government ministries, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Drafting: Prepare high-quality policy briefs, consultation responses, and position papers to support advocacy efforts.
Advocacy & Representation: Develop and present AIDCF’s positions on issues impacting the digital cable industry, ensuring the sector’s voice is effectively heard.
Policy & Regulatory Engagement: Represent AIDCF in consultations, forums, and meetings with ministries, regulators, and industry bodies.
Legal & Regulatory Analysis: Provide legal insights on broadcasting and digital cable regulations, advising on compliance and long-term implications.
Strategic Monitoring: Track legislative, regulatory, and market developments, distilling key updates into actionable inputs for the leadership.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Secretary General and senior leadership on shaping industry strategy and strengthening member representation.
Eligibility & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law (3-years LL.B. or 5-years integrated course) from a recognized university.
5–8 years of experience in legal, policy, and regulatory affairs (experience in broadcasting, telecom, or media sectors will be an advantage).
Proven ability in policy research, advocacy, and high-quality drafting.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with comfort in representing industry positions in external forums.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Compensation
₹8 to 12 LPA, depending on experience and fit.
Location & Joining
Delhi NCR (Hybrid role) – flexibility to work remotely, with regular in-person meetings in and around Delhi.
Immediate or short-notice joiners will be preferred.
