The Centre for Law and Policy Research (CLPR) is a not-for-profit trust dedicated to making the Constitution work for everyone through law and policy research, social and governance interventions, and strategic impact litigation. The organisation works on constitutional rights of persons with disabilities, women, gender and sexual minorities, Dalit and Adivasi persons, and other vulnerable groups through its Constitution Litigation Unit (CLU).
About the Position
The Litigation Associate will handle and supervise litigation work of CLPR’s Constitution Litigation Unit (CLU). The role includes litigation work, legal research, and administrative responsibilities.

- Nature of Role: Full-time
- Experience: Minimum 2 years litigation experience (preferably High Court or Supreme Court)
- Remuneration: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Scope of Work
- Meeting with clients
- Drafting affidavits, writ petitions, appeals, applications, and other pleadings
- Briefing and assisting senior advocates associated with CLPR
- Appearing before the High Courts and the Supreme Court as required
- Conducting legal research for ongoing and prospective cases
Desired Skills
- Ability to work independently in drafting and filing petitions
- Comfortable appearing before courts and judicial forums
- Ability to manage multiple litigation matters
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong legal analytical, writing, and organizational abilities
- Good time management and task prioritization
Education & Experience
- Fluency in Kannada (speaking and reading)
- LL.B from a recognized university and enrollment with State Bar Council
- LL.M (Desirable)
- Strong academic background
- Minimum 2 years litigation experience (preferably High Court or Supreme Court)
