1. About NUSRL, Ranchi:

National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi has been established to further the cause of legal education in its manifold spheres of knowledge, development, and dissemination; coupled with the capacity building of state and non-state institutions; specializing in relevant legal technological interrelationship and above all strengthening the legal system at all levels. Student-centred legal education with global perspectives; preparing students as future legal professionals in law practice, academic and public policy are going to be the mainstay of this University. It is well known that for the purpose of social, economic, and political betterment of a nation, the legal system plays a cardinal role, and as such better legal education would be the core principle of the University.

2. About CSRIPR:

The Center for Study and Research in Intellectual Property Rights (CSRIPR) was established with the noble vision of creating a forum which inculcates a culture of effective research in the field of IPR. The aim of the center is to contribute to legal scholarship in the Intellectual Property Law world as India finds itself in the process of more rapid reform than ever before. More in meticulous, the CSRIPR wishes to gain a better insight and glimpse into new and evolving areas of Intellectual property law (such as the protection of software, semi-conductor products and biotechnological inventions, standardisation and technology transfers) and the general problems of patents, trade marks, designs and copyright.

The Centre is striving hard to reach to the society through various programmes such as seminars, workshops, awareness programmes. It is also focusing on conducting various competitions among the student community from various fields such as law, science, engineering and management to create a common platform and extending its academic and technical support to the IP holders in State of Jharkhand by providing consultation and awareness to the Small and Medium Scale entrepreneurs and tribal population who are repositories of vast indigenous knowledge.

3. Nature/type/work of internship:

This internship will revolve around one month. during the course of which students will be required to research upon nuances of Intellectual property law and other related fields in this realm. The students will be allotted one domain from IPR, as per their interest.

4. Eligibility/experience/qualifications:

Law Students: Applicants must be currently pursuing Undergraduate or Postgraduate legal studies at a college or university recognised by competent authority or any other prestigious institution, either within India or internationally.
Science Students: Total of 10 students are reserved for Non- Law backgrounds .B. Tech, MTech, BSc, MSc, MBBS, MS, MD, etc, who are pursuing their studies in science and allied fields, can also apply for the internship to gain insights and integration of IPR with the advancement of the respective fields.
Students Interested in IPR: Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in the field of Intellectual Property Law and be eager to explore its socio-legal dimensions, including the impact of intellectual property on society, technology, and economics.
There will be two cohorts of people for this internship, i.e., National & International (10 slots in the batch shall be reserved for International students), and they will be exclusive but will come for exchanges on relevant co-sharing domains of knowledge.

Most importantly, 10 slots are reserved for both International Students and Non- Law Students each.
