The Kerala high court on Friday refused to stay the release of the controversial movie “The Kerala story”. The submission of the producer that the teaser of the movie which claimed that 32,000 women from Kerala were recruited to ISIS will be removed from the social media account. “The film was inspired by true events”-the court said. It is also certified by the Central board of film certification [CBFC]for public viewing. The bench also had the opinion that there was nothing offensive in it after watching its trailer.
Freedom of speech and expression,they have the artistic freedom, and it should also be balanced, there was nothing against Islam or any religion in the movie but only against the ISIS organization. No one says anything on films which depicts sanyasis as smugglers and rapists. There is a movie in which Poojari spits on an idol. Justice Nagaresh orally remarked these statements. The producers have clearly shown a disclaimer on the movie that it was based on true events.
The petitioner’s advocate Dushyanth Dave stated that the film may create serious law and order problems and it had greater impacts on the mind of people than books can ever be. He is also a strong advocate of freedom, but freedom must be curtailed if it poisons the mind of innocent people. The court has said that the movie was based on historic events in which Dave, responded that the purpose of the film is to portray Muslim community as villains. Parents will think they cannot send their children to hostels with Muslim students as they will also be converted, the film creates such an impression justice P.A.Mohammad Shah appearing for one of the advocates contended.
The film Kerala story was based on true events that happened in Kerala where Hindus and Christians girls were trapped in LOVE JIHAD, and converted to Islam, and send on missions to Syria, Ahmedabad, Iraq and Afghanistan on behalf of ISIS.
