About the Opportunity
Vishal Consultants, Indore is inviting applications for the position of Head of Department (Law). The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the Law Department and ensuring effective academic and administrative functioning.
The role involves supervising faculty members, coordinating teaching and examinations, promoting research and legal education activities, guiding students, supporting accreditation processes, and developing professional collaborations with universities, courts, law firms, NGOs, and other institutions.

Experience Required
5–6 years of relevant teaching or academic experience in Law at a recognized university, college, or academic institution.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Department of Law and ensure effective academic administration.
- Plan and coordinate teaching schedules, faculty workload, examinations, and departmental activities.
- Supervise, mentor, and support faculty members in their academic and professional development.
- Ensure effective implementation of the prescribed curriculum and academic standards.
- Promote research activities, publications, conferences, seminars, and academic events.
- Encourage and coordinate moot courts, legal aid activities, internships, and student development programmes.
- Guide students regarding academic performance, research, internships, career opportunities, and professional development.
- Coordinate with the Dean, Principal, and university administration regarding departmental matters.
- Maintain departmental records, reports, accreditation documentation, and compliance records.
- Support NAAC, NIRF, and other institutional quality-assurance and accreditation activities, wherever applicable.
- Develop collaborations with industries, universities, courts, law firms, NGOs, and other professional organizations.
- Encourage innovative teaching methodologies and technology-enabled legal education.
- Undertake additional academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the institution.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should possess:
- A Ph.D. in Law from a recognized university or institution.
- A Master’s Degree (LL.M.) in Law from a recognized university.
- UGC-NET (Law) / SET / SLET qualification, as applicable.
- 5–6 years of relevant teaching or academic experience in Law.
- Strong academic administration, leadership, and faculty-management skills.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in research, publications, seminars, conferences, and legal education activities.
- Good communication, mentoring, coordination, and organizational skills.
Preference: Candidates with prior experience in academic administration or leadership roles may be preferred.
Remuneration
Remuneration shall be as per the organization’s standards and commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and academic profile.
