This information was made public on the Department of Justice’s website.
According to the notification, “In exercise of the power conferred by Article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint, Shri Justice S. Vaidyanathan, Judge of Madras High Court, to perform the duties of the office of the acting Chief Justice of that High Court with effect from 25.05.2023 consequent upon the retirement of Shri Justice T. Raja, Acting Chief Justice, Madras High Court,” the appointment was made in response to the retirement of Shri Justice T. Raja, the
Justice Vaidyanathan was born in Coimbatore on August 17, 1962. On August 27, 1986, he signed up to become an advocate.
Equity Vaidyanathan rehearsed under the watchful eye of the Madras High Court. He was raised as an extra appointed authority of the Madras High Court on October 25, 2013 and was made a long-lasting adjudicator on April 14, 2015.
