The comments were made after Biden and Xi held discussions during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in San Francisco. Blinken emphasized that Biden’s words represent the position of the entire US government, stating, “the president speaks for all of us.” This highlights the ongoing dynamics in US-China relations

According to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the US acknowledges the stark differences between US and China, saying, “It’s not exactly a secret that we have two very different systems.” He emphasized that President Biden speaks candidly, representing the entire US government. Blinken stated that the US will express views that China may not like, and the same can be expected from China. China has expressed objections to President Biden’s previous remarks.
