A circular was issued by the Special Commissioner of Police, Delhi , Mr. Dharmendra Kumar stating that the Bar Association should be immediately informed on lodging of FIR against a lawyer or arrest of a lawyer.
The order directed all the DCP(s)/Addl. Sub-Divisional ACP and SHO(s) to ensure that whenever an FIR is lodged against any lawyer or an arrest is made of any lawyer, in such case the President and Secretary of the concerned Bar Association, to which such lawyer belongs should be immediately informed telephonically as well as in writing.
